Why Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is virtually superior to Mad Max Fury Road

Greetings and Welcome to a Special Edition Blog and this is gonna be a Film Comparison Take on two Movies that are actually part of the same series.

Mad Max is actually a Series I never really got into. Now, this sounds ironic because I am actually a huge sucker for Post Apocalyptic Stuff like Fist of the North Star and Fallout. However, I do have upmost respect for Mad Max for paving the way for the Genre and it's influence on Pop Culture. And the fact it is set in Australia, Massive Points :D!!!

Now, this blog is very much a one sided affair against two films that ironically look similar at a glance, but once you watch both movies, you realize, that one of them is much more coherent, has more memorable characters, a badass protagonist, a charismatic villain and amazing action scenes that have variety!!!

Yes.... I am talking about Furiosa. The Prequel to Mad Max Fury Road but astonishingly, Furiosa ended up being the better movie in all aspects that I will get into.

1. Furiosa had a more Movie Like Experience.

I am gonna say it outright, Furiosa felt more like a proper Movie than Fury Road. There was a Story that was more than going "A-B" and the fact that there was a more well rounded Narrative made it much more easier to get immersed into.

Fury Road was literally just a chase movie. That was it. Nothing was memorable in the movie aside from bombastic Action Scenes and yet Furiosa had Bombastic Scenes but with variety and proper purpose this time. And, there is a Payoff to each scene that made the Story move forward.

2. Furiosa as a Character is much more relatable and believeable than Fury Road's Furiosa

When you literally made Furiosa more than just staring at the Camera 80% of the time, you know you did wonders. In Furiosa, she is now much more likable and more badass than she was in Fury Road.

Added that Anya Taylor-Joy and Alyla Browne's Performances were just stellar, they both made Furiosa very much a Female Equivalent of Kenshiro, and that is a huge compliment :D!!!!

3.  The Supporting Cast were far more memorable

Let's be real here, Furiosa did the characters justice. Heck, I can name the characters from Furiosa in a heartbeat thanks to their defined personalities and motivations. Dementus, played by Chris Hemsworth, is charismatic and often times hilarious. Immortan Joe is literally Darth Vader, Praetorian Jack was so cool, and Furiosa's Mother is a contender for Best Mom in Fiction. There are other characters to mention but the point is, compared to Fury Road, Furiosa literally gave the characters more style and depth.

Fury Road on the other hand had very thin characters. Even Max, your Main Character, looked like a hobo bum compared to everyone else, which is a huge problem when you have your main character look like a loser. Not a very good way to convey a character's fate.

4. The Action Scenes in Furiosa had Variety

Fury Road was one Chase Movie. Ok. Well Furiosa had Chase Scenes, a War Rig Assault, Gastown's Moment, The Battle at the Citadel, Bullet Farm's Battle, Furiosa's Revenge. Yes. As you can see, Furiosa simply had more variety with it's Action Scenes.

So, if you asked which movie had better action and more variety, Furiosa clearly had that aspect in spades. And that alone made it more memorable and more exciting.

5. Furiosa Simply Respected the Mythology of Mad Max

By far the biggest praise I can give to Furiosa is that, as mentioned in Point 1, Furiosa had a more well rounded experience. But, it also added more World building and more layers to the Mad Max Mythology. This alone is single handedly the main reason why Furiosa will always be better than Mad Max Fury Road.

Your telling me, a single chase scene film is better than a movie that takes time with it's world building, characters and Story? Hell no. I am not gonna jump on the Fury Road Train just with that sentiment.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga simply did things in a monumental way compared to some junk heap chase scene film with zero substance.

You think that Fury Road is a Masterpiece? You never seen films before.

Thank you for Reading this Blog :)
